AIPMT 2017  CBSE NEET 2017

NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST (UG) – 2017 (NEET-UG-2017) will be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses in India in Medical/Dental Colleges run with the approval of Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India except for the institutions established through an Act of Parliament i.e. AIIMS and JIPMER Puducherry. AIPMT 2017 change our name who known as NEET 2017.

Eligibility to appear in NEET-UG 2017

He/she has completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year MBBS/BDS Course.

The upper age limit for NEET is 25 years as on the date of examination with relaxation of 5 years for candidates belonging to OBC/SC/ST category.

The number of attempts which a candidate can avail at NEET-UG examination shall be limited to 3 (three) uniformly to all the candidates. The candidates who have already appeared in AIPMT/NEET on three occasions are not allowed to take this examination. The candidates will be required to give an undertaking in this regard and submitting false undertaking may result in cancellation of the candidature and action in accordance with norms for handling UFM cases.

The previous attempts in AIPMT/NEET will be counted against these 3 permissible attempts. The candidates who have already exhausted their allowed 3 attempts are not eligible to apply for NEET (UG), 2017.


A candidate who is appearing in the qualifying examination, i.e., 12thStandard in 2017, whose result is awaited, may apply and take up the said test but he/she shall not be eligible for admission to the MBBS or BDS, if he/she does not pass the qualifying examination with the required pass percentage of marks at the time of first round of Counselling.


The Higher/Senior Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination which is equivalent to 10+2 Higher/Senior Secondary Examination after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of such study comprising of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology (which shall include practical tests in these subjects) and Mathematics or any other elective subject with English at a level not less than the core course for English as prescribed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training after introduction of the 10+2+3 educational structure as recommended by the National Committee on Education.

Application Fee :

Rs. 1400 for General/OBC  & Rs. 750 for SC/ST/PH candidate.

Photograph and signatures:
Candidates are advised to use following photographs:
Passport size photographs with white background indicating clearly the name of candidate along with the date of taking the photograph to be used for uploading on online Application and for Counselling/Admission.

One post card size (4”x6”) photograph affixed on proforma which will be collected from candidates by Centre Superintendent at Centre during NEET (UG)–2017 Examination. The photograph must be taken on or after 01.01.2017 indicating clearly the name of candidate along with the date of taking the photograph as shown below. Photograph should not have cap or goggles.
