Education Qualification for Lekhapal 2016:

A candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree of a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or possess an equivalent qualification

FEE FOR LEKHAPAL 2016: 

General/ Other State Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 600/- (Rupees Six Hundred Only) SC /ST/PH Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 450/- (Rupees Four Hundred Forty Only) either by depositing the  SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of SBI, State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/State Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank of Mysore/State Bank of Patiala/State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card.

Paper : Reasoning-50, English Language-40,Quantitative Aptitude-50, General Awareness-40 Computer Knowledge-20. This paper is completely objective and accounts for 250 marks. Total Number of objective type questions asked in this paper are 250 and the examination duration is for two hours. It carries negative marking also.

English Language:

Reading Comprehension,Cloze Test,Fill in the blanks, Multiple Meaning/Error Spotting,Paragraph Complete/ Sentence Correction, Para jumbles, Miscellaneous

Simplification, Ratio & Proportion, Percentage, Number Systems, Profit & Loss, Mixtures & Alligations, Simple Interest & Compound Interest & Surds & Indices, Work & Time, Time & Distance, Mensuration – Cylinder, Cone, Sphere, Sequence & Series Permutation, Combination & Probability, Data Interpretation.

Current Affairs This would primarily focus on all news based items from various fields like sports, awards, summits, new appointments, obituaries, Indian Defense, etc. Please be thorough with newspaper, preferably “THE HINDU”.

Indian Financial System– Overview of Financial Markets (Money Market, Capital Market, Forex Market, Credit Market), Financial Intermediaries involved (like investment bankers, underwriters, stock exchanges, registrars, depositories, custodians, portfolio managers, mutual funds, primary dealers, Authorised dealers, self regulatory organizations, etc. Also read important committees and its recommendations.

Regulatory Bodies like – RBI, (RBI History/ Functions/ Roles/) SEBI, IRDA, PFRDA, FSDC, FMC etc its role functions and fact based details

Monetary & Credit Policies- who decides, basis of change and its relation with Inflation and other related issues & Inflation (Types) CRR/ SLR/ Repo/ Re-Repo/Bank Rate etc.
